CLK 230 Convertable
Hi everybody new Merc owner here and already becoming an enthusiast.

I have a 2000 W208 CLK 230 Komprssor Convertible and want to replace the A10 radio with one which I can attach my ipod to. I also want to retain the steering wheel controls.

Can anybody help with how, suppliers or recommend anybody who can do it?

Thanks

i bought an alpine ida forom audio direct it was ony £80 and it plugs straight in the merc plugs and it comes with usb and ipod leads

Where are you ?
It is a DIY thing: you'll need:
Remove the 2 screws behind the vents to get the fascia off
unscrew thye A10 fitting plate behind
Purchase a convertor plate for a normal 1 DIN fascia (ebay) for your car model - it gives you a pocket below , as well . (mine was a W203)
Ebay again - Converter plug set from MBZ to whatever brand your new ice is & for some of the topline makes a convertor set to continue using the steering wheel controls
purchase the ICE of your dreams , with a DIN cage
plug it all together
replace the fascia

or drive to any ICE supplier, choose your ICE , ask about fitting kit & costs , submit your plastic & be a lot worse off .
& halfords do it too

Thanks

Thanks both, trolling various sites to try and choose.

Lots look a bit too flash, but sure I'll find one.

no need to do above, buy removal keys from ebay only a couple of quid, insert keys into audio 10 and pull job done, mercedes plugs will fit other stereos its a simple diy david what area are you from

Thanks Chubbs will order some today.

I'm in Northants
