Radio Info option

COMAND HDD 'froze' recently. Fortunately car is under extended warranty so changed the whole COMAND system over FOC. My old COMAND was in a 58 plate E class so was current 'ish' but the replacement seems to have a slight change of spec. When on FM radio there is an INFO button that displays infromation about the programme/song. This is a nice feature I think, although a little bit sporadic in its operation, but each time you start up you have to select the info section to make active. As my instruction book doesnt have this noted as a feature I have no idea if you can make this view the 'default'. Whilst asking I wonder if there are any other update features I now have but dont know about

I am guessing yours is NTG2.5, same as mine, if so then these systems can benefit from firmware updates, though I can't say which features exactly are been added/updated when you update the firmware.

As for your question I was trying to achieve the same on my COMAND and could not find a way to do this, so if anyone does know the answer then please post it, thanks.

As above all that is different is it will be on a newer firmware. You do have to select the info button manually.
