Radio Interference new head unit

Afternoon,

Just replaced the original head unit in my W202 with a bluetooth Sony number.
All ok on CD & phone streaming music.. but when I put the tuner on I get this 'ticking' noise that rises with the engine revs. Also the music sounds gargled slightly.
The bloke from the shop said it's either the plugs going or the HT leads ??

He's going to try and find a suppressor for the live feed to see if this cures it.

Any ideas anybody???

Sounds like a bad earth issue to me. If you are fine on CD but not on FM either your aerial or your headunit has a bad earth.
