Radio loses volume

My radio sometimes appears to lose volume, its almost like something has covered the speakers, and the volume lowers, it's not muffled, but just seems to lower, it only lasts for a couple of seconds, doesn't happen all that often.
What causes this ?

Are you getting traffic reports or speed camera warning, but turned volume down on an earlier announcement?

Next time, try turning volume up quickly and see if you can catch it.

Yes I'm getting traffic reports, never had speed camera warnings tho ?

As well as "please observe the speed limit" if over 5 mph above speed limit.

Having the same issue except that usually DAB dies entirely and so AGW stops all sound.
I am investigating the issue but from what i have been hearing, this is probably due to changes to DAB network and also potentially 4G intereference. The annoying thing is that I dont even listen to DAB at all.
