radio not receiving signal

Hi all , I have a 2006 c class diesel estate car with a model MF2730 radio , the radio powers on ok but no reception, or channels can be found just skips past them , put a new radio in the car but still the same, is there any common faults on these vehicles as cant whistle and don't want to sit there bored any help would be appreciated.

Most common is the connection pad coming off the antenna at the rear screen.
I used UPVC pacers wedged behind the pad to keep it on the antenna.

With the upper trim unclipped the pad can be seen at the top of the screen.

Otherwise, assuming an MF2730 is after market, check the unit is putting out 12 volt to the antenna amp, usually blue wire.
