I’m in the process of resurrecting a 2001 Vito 110cdi and have a problem with the radio wiring. There was no radio fitted when I bought it so I have an aftermarket JVC unit. The Mercedes connections had been previously removed so all I had was a bunch of wires. I bought standard ISO connectors and have identified loom power connector wires as follows:-

Red/Yellow = Battery positive permanent live
Brown = Earth
Black/Yellow =Ignition switched live

Fluctuating reception seems to confirm that the van has an amplified antenna, presumably fed by one of the remaining two unidentified wires:-

Black/Yellow
Green/White with brown marker

I’ve spent a lot of time searching online, without success, so I hope that the forum can put me out of my misery!

How come you name the Black/Yellow wire unidentified when earlier on you name it as switched power wire?

There are different options but you probably have:
Brown = Ground
Black/Yellow = 15R
Grey/Green Red = 58K (illumination)
Red/Yellow = Circuit 30 (permanent power)
Black/Blue = Mute
Purple/Yellow = Antenna amplifier control

Apologies! unidentified wire is blue/black. I can't find a purple/yellow. I've only found 5 wires but will look again!
