Now to lock it away and never drive it again lol

I think what impresses me (or mystifies me) even more than your detailing skills......is how you manage to find the time, between running your own business, family time, fixing the wagon and then there is the detailing! :)

I want to know your secret! :p

The kids are at a age where they look after themselves mostly it’s like having your own football team lol.
It’s like a family on this forum I enjoy showing you guys my passion for keeping cars how they should be, it also helps and picks me up with kind positive comments from peeps like you! Thanku sir :thumb:

Well Gavin you cannot make me feel lazy I know I am,the 55 is a credit to you, well done.

Lovely job, merc85, car looks fab, as a bonus you've got hair too.;):)

211s look great but a well-kept AMG is something quite special.

Stunning ... !

I hope you wiped that fingerprint off under the door handle ;)

I done mine and the missus yesterday and I not going to lie after controlling three boys cleaning the missus car all moaning about cold water and splashing each other so it looks like the wet themselves I barely had the energy to clean mine but managed to go around it a couple of times and finish with a quick detailer.

Polar blast is fantastic for finishing off missus big 'Ol' Zafira, though I did laugh when I asked one of the boys the dress the tyres with some Megs tyre gel and they replied ....

Alfie - Which part?
Me - huh, the tyre !
Alfie - What the black thing?
Me - Yes the tyre! don't tell me you don't know what a tyre is !
Alfie - is it the black bit?
Me - My god I reducing all Xbox time to 30mins a week! Yes the black thing! :wallbash:

I use i micro fibre with a detail spray works a treat, when i clean the bolts they come out then after a polish go back in :)

I have small nylon brush for the stuff like the ribbs in the air intake tubes and a brass one to get rid of the flies from the rads.

Roger, i did try the wifes tooth brush but the nylon is to soft lol

I showed it to my missus it last night and she asked me if I was have having a mid life crisis o_O

I told her not yet I'm saving that for the next car.

Great work OP and superb car! All the little details add up in the end and result in a car completely defying its age.

That said an E55 is still a damn good looking car.

I wish I had the time and devotion you have, takes me all my time to wash my car.

Great Job looks superb!

I wish I had the time, but currently clearing part of the garden where a previous builder (for a previous owner) decided to bury the rubble when extending rather than put it in a skip:

Very nice :D love the engine bay, not had time to do mine yet.
I'd love an AMG, is this a daily driver or weekend warrior ?

I love how you cleaned the door handle recess, it's all about the detail
