All gone now.E 220 Convertible, 2x190E, 2xC180, 1xB180 sport.
Got up this morning looked out of window as usual. Cars on drive. Check.

Had coffee, looked out of window, boot open! Relieved that it hadn't yet started to rain. Shut boot firmly.

Keys were in the drawer so not accidentally pressed.

A couple of weeks ago drove a few yards down the road and BONG! (warning light on the dash) looked through rear view mirror, boot open! At the time assumed I may not have closed it properly and thought no more about it.

I am pretty sure this time it was firmly shut.

Ideas?

While it won’t help you with the random opening cause, you could disconnect the springs that lift the lid open until you’ve found the problem.

That way even if the boot pops, it’ll stay sat down, in the rain, on the road, etc.

Good idea. Will wait until the rain stops and it's daylight.
Still closed at the moment and have been out driving today.

If not a key issue or a lock issue the I’d suggest wiring or an earth issue.
