Hi,
Sadly ambition over ability has taken hold and I have been told to sell my 300TE. It's a runner, but not MOT'd (last on the road Dec 09).
It's a very rare car in that it has virtually every option available at the time, it's done 230k, drives ok, exhaust is blowing but it is surely worth saving.
Here is the spec:
Thistle green metallic with pine green velour (excellent condition)
7 seater
Brand new ribbed green floor mats
Electric front seats (driver with memory) 90% of functions working
Orthapaedic front seats (working)
Heated seats (working)
Air con (not working, been converted to new type of gas)
Cruise (don't know if working)
Sunroof (not working - cable detached from roof, mechanism ok)
OTG (not working but new sender included)
LSD - rare
Drivers airbag - light goes on and off ok
ABS - light goes on and off ok
Electric windows (rears seized)
Two tone horn with selector switch on dash (peep or blast)
MB removable tow hitch with key
Sump guard (rare)
Central locking (working)
Headlamp wash wipe (working)
Illuminated vanity mirrors
Puddle lights on door bottoms
15 hole alloys
Original Blaupunkt radio cassette with instructions
It has history to 140k ish.
Condition wise it's not too bad.
Bad points -
Non genuine front wings - 2 genuine rust free ones available
Rust spots on varior places on all doors - set of totally rust free ones available
Tailgate spot of rust, rust free one available
Front of sill rusty - simple fix
One rear arch surface rust
Under one rear light rust
It's been painted before and laquer flaking off in places
PAS pump squeals (replacement available)
Headlamp lens cracked (replacement available)
Exhaust blowing at rear box and where meets manifold
There will be other bits - but nothing major that I know of. The passenger side door arm rest has broken and a new genuine one is available if required.
I'd like the car to go to a good home, someone who could get it back on the road as it is very rare, and in, to my mind, an attractive colour combination.
If there's no interest then I shall break it, so if there are any bits you'd like then let me know.
It's just had new plugs, distributor cap, HT leads etc and starts and runs nicely.
All the bits are there to get it back on the road looking lovely.
