Rare E36 estate (W124) but needs work

The rear seat belts for the two rear facing passengers have been cut out - you can see the remnants of one in one of the photos if you enlarge it.
You can enlarge most of the zoomable photos and the do show how bad the car and interior are - they show a car that has been neglected for most of its life. The zoom of the paperwork shows that the PAS failed and was replaced and shows that the rear wheel arch had extensive corrosion that had to be cutout and new pieces fabricated.
I think Billyw124 is probably fairly accurate in his assessment - this car has been sat around probably in a field for some time and the car is probably full of rust.

It just needs Jay to get a sudden rush of blood to the head and that would be a cracking car.

I think it's worth saving for its rarity factor alone. 10k would be on the very cheap side IMHO.

Comeon JM, how's about it, looking for another summer project...?

I think a missing dog guard would be the least of your issues.

I do think it would look superb done though and think the shape is still great.

I was working out last night if I move all our stuff that is still boxed up into one garage could I fit it in another garage...

But then how do I explain to Mrs A210 we have no pennies left for carpets / gates / etc...

This is what I would want it to look like...

Why ruin it? The wheels and exhaust just don't suit it IMO. However, the rest of it looks ace!

It's sold or been removed from sale, anyone here?

SPX?

His drive / road would look like steptoes Yard

I hope a forum member then we will get the updates :)

Although it was a very, very tempting prospect, for once I had to put my sensible head on; I'm looking to thin my fleet, not expand it...

It was definitely a cheap car with genuine provenance and would have made an excellent keeper for a genuine enthusiast.

That's exactly how I'd like mine to look

- minus the exhaust, tints, big rims, spoiler & lowering

You'd keep the plate then Nick... :)

Sure I read somewhere that the black gangsta one has a V12 in it

Blimey ^ thats worse than the one for sale!! It's even got new rubber! :D

It amazes me how people can form such strong negative opinions on something they have never seen in the flesh. I reckon the guy that bought that car got a good deal. A couple of grand for a very rare car!
Let's hope he had a tiggle, and that it will end up being a tasty old S124 for reasonable money

I agree, if I had room for it I would have bought it in a flash irrespective of condition. I think people are just pointing out its probably a labour of love to get it mint.

Listen JM, ever thought that wagon of yours needed company, it's not lookin so good all alone now...

Hi have been reading this forum forever but never registered. I bought the e36 lol. Now have a 89 te 4-matic, 92 td(looks like the e36) and 300 te with lorinser kit. My wife thinks I am mad. Maybe I am. Also have a b7 rs4 convertible but doesn't make me a bad parson.....

Am looking for a replacement Amg front bumper?..... Phase one of my 532 step plan to get it in good shape.......
