I like it, looks nice and clean too and a reasonable price

Was my old car, sold it to him about 4 months ago for £4400? i think? cant really remember. Spent thousands on it, tons of receipts and history.

The funny thing is he then demanded about £1000 to pay for 'repairs' that he apparently had to have carried out, e.g the car was totally unroad worthy and unsafe with fuel lines leaking everywhere which could cause the car to burst into flames at any moment. The merc specialist must of missed this when they done the MOT 2 days before he bought it. . . . .

To top it off he threatens me with 'legal action' to make it as hard as possible for me and my girlfriend to get a mortgage unless i pay (to be fair he did then say he'd accept half). His actual words.

The guys a joker.

I say leave it well alone as its such a death trap :)

For that price I just hope he's repaired the cracked exhaust header, fixed the inflating seats and got the radio working. Other than that the car is great, as you can see from my original description he's using.

Hi

Please stick to the facts about the car.

Im a honest person unlike yourself, the car has been repaired to safe standard by Mercedes Expert in the Middlesex area.

I did not try to hide things when selling the car like you.

Please do not be bitter that I made a profit from selling the car.

I was within my rights to ask you to contribute to costs, The car runs fantastic and it will be a great fun for the new owner.

Flicked you on the raw, has he? Ask yourself - we all will - why OmegaV6i would contribute to this discussion with a pack of lies, when he sold the car months ago.

So you bought it for £4.5K-ish, with a two-day-old MoT test certificate, claim to have spent £1k on it to make it roadworthy, kept it for a few months and are now selling it for £7900? Even if your claims are true, it sounds like a reasonable deal for you to me.

Lollingtons.

With the prospect of a substantial profit I would have kept my head below the trenches - hey ho. Personally I now ignore sob stories or threats to get an asking price down.

Pedant...:D

You raise an interesting point, though. Most people treat internet discussion threads like conversations rather than written material, so the division between the two is in practice somewhat blurred these days, I think.

Wow I remember this debacle.

Sorry to bring up a dead thread but does anyone know where the car ended up or if its still about? I miss it.

I had it for about a year and then sold it on to a fellow forum member.

A year on and anothet thread revival. I think this thread was discussing C43 AMG 5.5; V151 OHJ.
In which case, I am the new custodian, taking delivery yesterday.
Body is presentable, with a bit of bubbling in the usual places, some damage to the N/S that will require a door. Mechanically good. Mostly just fettling to bring it vack up to being a nice W202. It joins my 1995 C36 AMG.
