Cls 500
Hi all so I purchased a 2005 Cls500 with the airmatiic suspension on it . I have 285/35/20 tyres on rear and 255/35/20, on the front asI have put 20 inch replica turbines on it. I have also put 20mm spacers on the rear and 12mm spacers on front. I now have noticed a squeaking rattling sound coming from the front since having these fitted. Could be Just coincidence but anyone got any suggestions. New to Mercedes so not sure if Spacers would cause and issue. Thanks Chris

spacers will have an affect on the suspensions resting state, Since you are effectively moving the cars support points on the ground out by 40mm (20mm each side) So any slightly worn component (ball joint, anti roll bar drop links, bushes etc may show up as a rattle or knock. I would remove the wheels, get a decent pry bar and give each ball joint, control arm, anti roll bar a good lever to check for any slight play. And I mean 1mm or less, this can cause knocking or rattling.

Or option 2, remove the spacers and see if the noise goes away.

:)

Correct bolt lengths?
