Rattling windows: CLK 230

Hi Guys,

Aplogies if I put this in the wrong section as well.

Advice - my convertible's back windows keeps rattling, not a big issue just age i guess. Does anybody know what the problem is and how i can get it fixed? How much it cost? blah blah

Can the dealer re-laign the windows or somtheing?

Do you mean the window in the roof?

There is a repair methd for this. Just some well placed fabric tape normally sorts it.

You may also have a loose bracket at the rear of the roof section. I have seen this before too.

Nah its the, back seat window. Took it to merc garage and they found a bit of the problem, worn out rubber and window not aligned properly, costing me 600 quid to fix - its a joke. They are apparently spending 4.5 hours on the job - biggest scam in the world.

We have this problem with our CLK cab, too. The drivers side rear window rattles when you shut the drivers door.

We have tried to have it adjusted but the dealer says it's a body-shop job, whilst the body-shop says its a dealer job! At least it doesn't leak!
