I have just bought two headlights for mercedes w202 and the car it was from is a 1999 and my w202 is registration 1996. Will they fit in my car?

By the way, the person has a lot of spare parts for any w202 if anybody is interested...

They'll fit, but you'll need to change the panels under the headlights.

Not at all, only thing is you'll need to paint them.

You should also notice an improvement in visible light on the road. Later W202 lights are far better IMO.

Interested in this thread as when I replace my C43 halogens, with Xenons I have thought about putting them in my 96 (97 registered) C230K, why do the lower panels need replacing? they look identical on my cars.

The headlights are a different shape at the bottom, and thus the panels are different.
