Reading SMS on COMAND

I have a W204 with COMAND. In the manual it says I can read my texts on the screen. This is true, but it can only display texts within the "SIM Message" folder. All the texts I receive do not go onto this folder. Nokia say the SIM Message is for service messages sent by the network.

Is there any way of getting COMAND to look into the other message folder? Or if anyone knows anything about the Nokia 6500, can you direct received texts into the SIM Messages folder?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I'm not using the Nokia 6500, but my experience is that the COMAND will only see texts which you receive while the phone is connected to COMAND, in my case via rSAP bluetooth. Likewise the COMAND outbox seems to only hold those sent while (parked) in the car.

The received texts will be visible in your SIM Messages folder when you are out of range of (or not connected to) the car.

As ever, I'm open to correction.

Regards,
Eddie

As fast eddie says, txts received whilst connected are shown on COMAND and stored on the phones SIM.

FYI
If you recieve a MMS whilst connected to COMAND it will come up as two SMS messages but will be garbbage. They are stord on the phone's SIM so when disconnected from COMAND copy both to your phone's Inbox and you will be able to read the MMS
