Don't need to dry before you clay. Need lots of lubrication....Have fun.

Keep the SRP away from rubber seals around glass etc, or you'll be picking chalk dust out of the crevices forever - that's why I stopped using SRP and use 3M Perfectit instead! Plus as Rory says, have a water spray bottle in hand as you use the clay - not sure if the AG clay needs just water lube or QD spray, I use a different brand that only needs water. You also need to wash after claying, and you might like to consider Iron-X or similar to get rid of brake dust and a tar remover before claying.

SRP?? i got a decent spray for brake dust called bleed. use it on coach alloys at work.

They did reformulate Super Resin to make it less dusty but assuming you use it sparingly, it shouldn't be too dusty anyway. :)

As said, don't worry about drying before you clay. The wetter the car the better. Also one tip I was given for claying was to use soapy water as lube, using the wash mitt to wet the panel. So much quicker and easier than quick detailer.

Enjoy though and make sure you post up some pictures of the results. :)

finished result, rain stopped so i was out there straight away, heres few pics of end result, Very happy with it. the bonnet was like sandpaper , now its smooth as a bit of glass. washed, dried, clay bar, washed, super reson polish, then waxed. new1.jpg new2.jpg

thanks mate! backs was already done so had fronts done to match.

Only thing I'd think with a clay mitt is that you cannot "turn" the clay the way you can with a lump of Bilt Hamber or similar when you can see it's collected some rubbish. That makes me think that any crap the mitt collects gets rubbed over the rest of the car.

Never used the mitt, so maybe I'm wrong - it would not be the first time!!:D:D:D

yes i dropped the clay so got another bit, i think next time i would buy the clay mit to try it out.i got the fronts slightly lighter than the rear windows. 35 percent i think. these garages that sell the cars dont put as much care into paintwork i have decided.

Are the front window tints legal?

In the UK a windscreen must allow at least 75% of the light to pass through whilst the front side windows must allow at least 70% through. On a previous car I wanted the same dark privacy glass for both the front and rear side windows so got a 30% tint but with a highly reflective mirror-like finish. It worked well.

Tinted vehicle windows: the law

Don't you need to shampoo / wash after the snow foam has had time to dwell and is rinsed off ?

and last of all, forgot to add before.
