Recently fitted seals to repair front shocks that were leaking - now followed by rear leaking -- I fear there is no similar kit to repair these? - please can you confirm/ deny this and lead me to salvation -- is there a diy fix --- at 250,000 miles getting a bit long in the tooth for expensive recon shocks from the Excited States!!![

please tell us more about these repaired seals

Front airmatic shocks were repaired with the M-B Kit -- they were reluctant to admit to its existance but there is a part number @ c. £80 each?( which I can find out if you need it) --Im finding there isnt a similar kit for the rear --- or is it a well kept secret ? really need to find a diy fix but in fairness need a bit more info on the exact location of the leak -- its at the garage at the moment so havent seen it myself

Hi, either a repair kit or spending on replacements, anyone know of an alternative to spending £330 + vat a side from MB for rear shock absorbers?

thanks

Your lucky to find a used one on a cls 55 because there different to a cls 500 or 320

there one guy in Germany who has one I really want it but its pickup only and refuses to ship :.(

I am actually thinking to get a cheap Ryanair flight and car hire just to collect it because it will still be cheaper to than buying a new one but if anyone can tell me if there's a way to repair an existing one that would be the path I prefer to take :dk:

By the way how much did it cost you to replace it or did you do it yourself?

I read somewhere once installed it needs to go on star to get Ecu to put air in the shocks before car is put on the ground is this true....?

I'm in Crawley and use merc specialist,he is the cheapest around.
As his my mate maybe so discounted rate but I did recomend him to many people and they are very happy with the service
He also does Audi
Specialise in those two
Don't know if he plugged it onto star, probably hes got all latest program versions for mercs and audis
