I need one myself for my 2012 C-class estate.
What sort of bumper protector was you thinking of?
- Rear strip like hard plastic
- Fold out rubber matting from the boot.

What examples have you seen on the internet?

The ones I have seen are hard plastic or stainless steel self adhesive strips.

A couple of us on here have bought these brushed steel ones on eBay (for GLCs), but the seller seems to have them for loads of models. Quick delivery, well packed and reasonable quality, they come with 3M self-adhesive pads. Depending on the day's exchange rate, not too bad a price either.

Quite possibly they are exactly the same as the cheap Chinese ones out there but I felt a little more comfortable with them only having to come from Berlin.
