Hey guys, the other week my daughter got out of the car and was shutting the door of my 2009 c class, when it kind of bounced back. After locking and unlocking with the key of bit was working again.

Today. Same thing. Did the above but, now it will not open at all. I've tried using the handle on the inside and it won't open either. I can hear the lock working when I lock and unlock and lock it but the door will not open.

Any ideas how much this I should budget? As I was about to get the wheels refurbed.

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, I wasn't sure if it should go her or one of the others forums.

Well i think its door card off job for you .Get inside the door and see whats going on .From there you can lift up the pivots inside to open it a plastic lever to poke around with.Thats if you can open the door first. You have not changed the child lock possition in the door have you? I have a switch in mine so the rear doors can not be open from inside or out if set .

I'm not sure how I could have changed the child lock position. Isn't it usually a mechanical switch type thing on the door itself?

I've called Cars With Stars who are collecting the car on Monday morning. I've no idea how they will get the door card/panel off without the door being open. I believe there are two screws of sorts that need undoing which are accessible while the door is shut. Hopefully that gives them enough room to play with to at least unlock it and then go from there. I just hope the door panel isn't damaged as that will seriously annoy me!
