Rear light control module location

Have 2003 w209 clk270cdi auto.
Offside side light and reversing light not working. Changed bulbs, still not working. Think could possibly be control module at fault? Can anyone tell me its location, or offer advice to solve problem.
Error saying brake light out and secondary bulb failure?

Without a star diagnostic session I would guess at it being the rear SAM which lives under the boot floor on the left hand side of the wheel well.

Are the other lights on that side working OK ?
Worth checking the Ground point for the light unit.

The W209 has the rear sam (N10/2) passenger (could be Drivers side in UK models) side of boot

What lamps are you using? Reason for the question is that my 2006 GL has me chasing my tail with rear light errors. Turned out that Halfords lamps didn’t cut it. Only Osram will do for this baby!
