Car
cls 220 shooting brake
Hi Guys..
Ive a 66 plate CLS shooting brake and the rear parking sensor are intermittently faulty especially when first using car after its been sitting for few days. It was in to dealerships the other day for service and I asked them to look at this but all they said was it was working fine when they had so their computers wouldn't pick up any faults
The sensors will normally work when I next put car into reverse.
Its only done 17k miles and ive had it since new.
Any advice from you genius's is well appreciated

they really should work even if there is condensation /water on them I think. Perhaps they need to be cleaned regularly, not sure. Otherwise if this keeps happening and the car is still within its warranty period, i'd be all over the merc dealership like a rash

Unfortunately the warranty ran out in September last year. If I ha r to replace one of the sensors is that a dealership or can my local garage do it. He has diagnosis equipment and he said it’s the rear center left one that’s showing a fault
Would that be the one under the rear license plate ??
