rear pass door

Hi Ive this week picked up a second hand hand 2008 c200 kompressor and after 2 days the passenger rear door will not open from either side the interior handle has gone loose which i assume is either the handle itself or the cable holder has broken away from the door card but also the lock rod is stuck in the up position and will not push down or pull up could anyone please pass on some tips on how i’m going to open the door to carry out the needed repairs please

Hi Webby , and welcome. I know this will not help you get the door open , but worth watching for guidance. I have seen videos of the OEM actuator being replaced and as this guy says it requires drilling out the inner panel rivets and cutting the inner door with a angle grinder (last bit might not apply to your car ...hopefully).

Second Vid shows front door , but similar to rear.
