Hello wise ones, every time I start my car the rear seat belt warning is displayed in the driver info panel. It lasts for about 10 seconds and disappears or I can delete it on the steering wheel controls. Can I disable / change the function.

Yes.
It will need to be set by someone competent with Xentry.
Get in contact with Comandonline (site sponsor) and they will sort it for you.

AFAIK its not an option in Xnetry. I have even struggled to find that option in Vediamo, and I am still not positive it is there either (not tried possible options I have found)

Why do you want to delete it? It’s never bothered me. If the ten seconds is too painful for you, can you switch it off earlier by pressing OK, as you can with some other warnings?

It's there - I have turned it off on my facelift S212 using Xentry with developers authorisation.

To be fair, if it annoys you, you don't need it and it's possible to turn it off, why not.
I was annoyed at having to go through a menu sequence just to see the outside temperature so had my cluster coded so that it is available on any screen (I can also still have KPH if I want).

Ummmm "....... on my facelift S212..."
:) truble with understand what I read LOL

But I think facelift makes the difference here. I might do double check later with my car...

I do not see the need of the warning if there is no one sitting in the rear seats. Absolutely pointless. I can control shed loads of other options but not that one. Why ?

There are no seat occupancy sensors in the back, so I suspect you get the warning if any of the seatbelts aren't plugged in ... just in case someone is in the back (probably to get extra NCAP points?). So plugging all the rear belts in would stop it, I think.

I think BTB 500 is right, why... Like C/S selector is forced on S at start because of fuel consumption rate and how it is calculated in theory...

I think that the display will simply show the rear seats as all plugged-in, but I am not sure that plugging-in the rear seat belts will stop the rear belts screen from showing on the dash altogether.

You could be right, and it may also vary depending on model. The manual for my W205 is certainly a bit ambiguous - I'll have to try it sometime!

I remembered to try this on our S205 today. With all the belts plugged in you get a different screen popping up, showing a plugged-in belt

So wish I do the temp thing on my S204!
