Rear Seats

Hi, Help please. I have a Mercedes Crew Cab, love it to bits. Trouble is, I need to put crates in it for the dogs but ideally I would like one seat in the back when someone wants to come with us. It is a two seat in the front. The book says you can have three or two. Is there a way to just have one?

You may have to get someone to do a retro fit in order to get a single seat, when you say a crew cab is it a Vito or a Citan??

The optional 'comfort' rear seating on our W639 Vito is a double plus a single, so it is possible to fit just the one seat (the standard setup is a single 3-seat bench). We generally run it with the 2 seat unit there though (as shown below), which gives enough extra room/floorspace for us. You also need a minimum of two rear seats for it to qualify as a 'dual purpose vehicle' (and therefore be subject to normal car speed limits rather than the lower van ones).
