I got a rear shelf from a V class W447. There are two, the sort and the long. Mine is short, reference A4478100804 / 010
In order to fix the shelf to the floor, you need a couple of fittings, one per side, reference A4478100081
You will order two, in a Merc dealer will be around £35 pair.
You need to remove the chairs, loose the rail´s bolts to be able to get those fittings inside the rails, from the rear end.
Every fitting has two bolts to fixed in the rail. Then, you get all back to same place where it was, rails, bolts, chairs.
Once you have the fittings in the desired place, you can now attach the shelf.
In the V class W447, there are two extra supports, one on every side, to hold tight the shelf. My Viano W639 has not those supports, but because is the short shelf, those are not really needed. It seems very robust.
