Rear shocks

Hi There
My prized assett S 350 ( 2015 ) requires 2 air rear shocks as 1 leaked all over my grey mono blocks !
Are after market shocks worth the money and do they come with any guarantee?

Welcome.

Anything you buy in the UK comes with a statutory guarantee... However, if you ask a reputable independent specialist to supply and install the parts, then you're covered also for the labour element, i.e. the removal and replacement of the faulty part under guarantee. If you buy the parts yourself and then ask a local mechanic to fit them, then you'll need to pay again for the labour in the event that the parts need replacing under guarantee.

Unrelated to the above, the general recommendation regarding suspension parts is to opt for genuine MB spares where feasible.

Thanks for your quick response, and I agree wholeheartedly that by using an independent mechanic that will allow me to go back of faults do occur.

I was just wondering as my car is 10 years old if the aftermarket shock absorbers that are available really last the test of time ?
