Rear suspension problem - W211 E220CDI

I've recently acquired an 03 W211 E220 CDI. While the car runs excellently, I feel there there may be something amiss with the rear suspension. Over bumps, it feels like there might be some lateral movement, even in a straight line. It also feels a bit bumpy on motorways sometimes. While I've not had it long and dont have experience of other W211s, I wondered whether this was normal and I'm being paranoid or if I need to get it looked at. The tracking has been done recently, and the dampers seem ok as far as I know. Any ideas anyone?

Have a proper 4 wheel alignment performed and a look for any play in any bushes, then see.
