Rear tyre odd brands - Slidey

I will, but I am convinced that the uneven wear is down to the crappy tyre on that side, it was the worst of the two, let's call it the least shiny turd of the 4
A binding brake on one side of a driven axle will cause uneven tyre wear. Seized brakes are commonplace, tyres manufactured so poorly as to wear unevenly, less so.

Glad you got the tyres sorted.

I’m currently driving a F10 530d with was fitted with full set of nearly new acceleras and must admit, pretty impressed so far.

It has certainly changed my opinion of budgets for normal cars and normal driving. They accommodate my driving style and handle my favourite corners enough to keep me entertained.

Remember, the odd slip or break in traction could also be down to oil/diesel/or something else on the road. I’ve seen many cars in co part with fabulous brands :)

Very true.....but good tyres are better generally (usually most noticeable in an emergency stop situation or the rain).....that said no matter what tyres you fit, great grip will always be overpowered by a lack of skill......... driving according to the conditions will make up a lot for the lack of pounds spent on tyres. Don't forget some of the expensive tyres are that expensive to fund other ventures.....like being a major motorsport sponsor or similar. If you had two tyres identical in performance in every way but one of the makers was heavily sponsoring racing....that one will inevitably cost more.

Have 5 on the Rav , very pleased with them, especially in cold wet weather, but not cheap.

There were two promotions in place when I bought mine. The first was £80 off when buying 4 new tyres, which I obviously took advantage of. The second was a participation in a monthly draw to win back the full cost of the new tyres, which I did..... and won 🥳

So my total cost for 4 new Michelin Cross Climate 2 tyres was.... nought! :)
