Finally managing to spend some time in the garage . Quick question on rear tyre size for a 10.5j x 20 rim , do you think a 295x30x20 will fit ? Had it with 25 series tyres ye to cracking rims on poor Lincolnshire roads ! My new 19" forged wheels are about to be ordered as soon as I decide width and off set .

Fronts are 265 30 20. They fit fine with no rubbing . But I think for my new wheels may go for 9" wide fronts and 10" wide rear rather than the 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears I currently run .

You can't put 295/30 on the rear with 265/30 on the front.

The difference in diameter (18mm) will probably mean things like cruise control will not work.

305/25 would be better.

Ok , what size would I need ?

I see in the states some of the guys are running 30 series all round .

30 is a meaningless number on it's own.

30 is the percentage of the width of the tyre. So, as the tyre gets wider, the sidewall gets taller. 30% of 295 being greater than 30% of 265.

The correct size for yours on 20s, is 245/30 at the front and 295/25 at the back.

For 19s it's 245/35 and 285/30 respectively.

All wheels will then be the same diameter.

So maybe best if I stick with 25 series on the back !

That depends on the widths front and rear and the diameter of the wheels.
