Rearview Mirror tilt

I have a w210 with front memory seats. I would like to re-set the lefthand passenger mirror to tilt down when I engage reverse. I know that it will only work, once adjusted, if the left hand mirror button button is depressed. H0owever what I cannot seem to do, is set the tilted-down position. I did have an extract from an MB manual but seem to have lost it. Can anyone help?

I don't know if it is the same for your car, but on my W220, after adjusting the position, I press the M button, followed by the "down" side of the mirror adjust button.

with my gl and clk when in reverse i set mirror to left side alter to required setting then nothing..it always goes to that setting when reverse is entered as long as left mirror is set....hope this helps
