New child seat recalled. I got one of these seats (£545) thinking having him in the front would be good and let the driver have a quick check he is ok every now and again but returned it after 5 weeks persevering ( the week before the official recall was announced). I found the seat cause the wee man to be in a very bent forward sitting position and he frequently spat up dribbles of milk within 5 weeks he grew out of the small seat and when placed in the larger seat his head was totally unsupported and his head would fall on his chest everytime I accelerate (even very very slowly). I stopped using the seat at this point and bought a £65 seat from Mother care (for the back seats) and the wee yin is now soooo comfy on his travels.

Mercedes very quickly gave a full cash refund.

I would have thought that the back seat is safer anyway.

When I was looking for a seat for little tyke William, I looked at the Mercedes "offerings" and reached the opinion that they were just rebadged and overpriced. We eventually got a seat from a specialist manufacturer - and it even matched the black interior cloth trim in my car. But that was 3 years ago and he's almost outgrown it now. Time to look for a booster seat,I think.
