Hi everyone, just trying to get a couple of front Recaro seats re trimmed and my trimmers are having trouble getting a close match to the original leather.

Anybody know of a manufacturer that has a leather colour that is as close as factory?

Any leads would be much appreciated.

Try KHM in Esslingen? They supply MB leather by the meter and will happily send a sample.

Many Thanks for all your help I'll check out the leads and let you know how I get on.

Thanks Billy, got quoted by D class originally and when i phoned back 3 months later to arrange a time to take them in, the price jumped up £600+!

So I thought I might as well take them to a local trimmers, but needless to say colour matching has not been the easiest! The swab they have that matches just doesn't have any details on it!

They can get a close match with a recycled leather , but I want real hide that's just stopped mooing!

Judging from my quote for the seat re-covering in my W114 D Class are not short of work. As I can get mine done by KHM for just under half the price, to Germany they shall go.

I'll give you a call tomorrow :thumb: all I can say is that His work is top notch, after all he was recommended by Jaymanek

D:Class sure isn't cheap but they sure know how to retrim a pair of Recaro C's which are notoriously tricky to retrim correctly due to their shape and contours and pump up ability...

I had mine done by them around 4-5 years ago and people still comment on how well the retrim was executed as well as the leather quality and the colour match to the rest of the interior....

Well, I'm still at a dead end, so may have to bite the bullet and give them to D Class . Although it's a real pain for me being in East London and them not open on Saturday!

Why don't you pop down one saturday and see my seats. If you're happy I can give you the number of the chap who re-trim them

Cheers , might have to take you up on that.
