W204
Hopefully this is nothing.

I took my w204 in for a service yesterday and later when I drove my car off the path I found this screw. Could be from literally anything but does anyone recognise it as something that is used on a W204. Long shot, I know.
Cheers all :)

Looks like it is chrome plated for cosmetic purposes so i doubt it is from the car , possibly from a pushbike / pram / motorbike / scooter ?

Is it a hexagonal drive or splined , hex drives aren`t really used on cars - normally they use torx or splined keys.

Brake slider screw, right. Take it I’ll need to take it back to the service center then? Any idea what it is I need to tell them?

Sorry, just seen your reply - it’s a hex key.

What work was done when it was serviced and what size is the offending article ?

I'd go with the slider screw as mentioned already. I'm impressed it's come out, I couldn't budge my ones.

It's been laying around doing nothing for quite some time by the look of it.

It also looks non-metric as it is quite a course thread in relation to the diameter , possibly (1/4 or 5/16) Whitworth which would again rule out it being from your metric Merc.
