Hi guys,

I currently have limited tools and limited money.

As some of you may know i am working on injectors on my Vito at the moment, but there are numerous other jobs i want to tackle as i am quite enjoying the challenge :)

Can any of you recommend/link any decent socket sets that should see me right with this kind of work.

Cheers in advance.

Halfords professional range are apparently very good bang for buck.

Really, i thought they were known for been a rip-off. I will have a browse :)

Cheers Dieselman.

Yes they are. Also a no quiblle g'tee.

I snapped a Torx socket and exchanged without question.

i have an older version of that set - same basic stuff. just dont put a six foot scaffold pole on a 3/8ths ratchet, it cant quite handle ie (but halfords will still replace it....)

Can you get one without the imperial sockets, if so go for that as you will never use them.

Lol awesome :)

Reserved for collection tomorrow :)

Cheers guys!

For the money - there doesn't seem to be a better buy for £79 @ Halfords, so will go with this one.

+ 1 for that Halfords set. I recently bought the ratchet ring spanners which appear very hood quality - certainly good enough for amateur use.
I almost wish I hadnt as I would have bought that kit otherwise.

Exactly, why lug around a box half full of tools you'll never use?

Well - i don't know much about imperial, surely there must be some use for them at some point?

Besides i will only be lugging them out of the house to my drive :)

At the price of £79 surely it cant be a bad buy though?

Buy the Snapon set for £100 and you'll have a very good set of tools.

Or buy a selection of good quality tools appropriate to your needs.

Imperial sockets are useless to you.
