Recommendations for new detailing starter kit?

I'm a noob to all this detailing stuff but my friend uses Z8 on his M135 and it does look good. He reckons the Z8 should provide long-term sealing against ingrained dirt.

I'll bob some before and after pictures on once I've done it, it'll be next next weekend before I've got everything.
