recommendations for wheel cleaning tools?

hi if cleaning alloys warm water a little washing up liquid and big sponge a hose to wash of dirt

takes a little time but the washing up will remove the dirt

dont forget to polish them with a good car polish after to give a shine but more than that the next time you wash them the dirt falls off with a hose

As above .. I use a microfibre mitt to clean rims. A good coat of wax helps!

my friend bought a micro fiber cloth from tesco it was white and like a very compacted sponge

i used it it did a great job only thing it was gone after the four wheels were done not cheap at 8 euro every time you want too do them

a bit of graft and as above is a great job

anyone got any tips for getting around those bolt heads on split rims when polishing? my fingers hurt.

I find using Wonder Wheels with the brush does the trick, have used on all my cars alloys and the results are very good indeed.

Harry, not on split rim bolts, it will make em corrode and go off color!

Jay, use a paint brush around the bolts and use auto glym custom wheel cleaner, then rimwax them.
