Recommended AMG specialist in Northern France?

Hi All,

My W204 C63 broke its V belt and leaked out all its coolant on a French motorway. It is now stuck in a breakdown yard near Amiens in Northern France. Whilst it is not a particularly valuable car, it is my pride and joy so I am loathe to bring it to any random garage. Has anyone on here had any positive experiences with main dealers or independants / AMG specialists in the wider area?

Have you asked whether your breakdown company will recover it back to the UK for repairs?

Many thanks - no worries, just keen to see if anyone on here has had good experiences with garages in the area.

RAC international breakdown have been great thus far and will repatriate the car back to the UK for me, but I am keen to get it fixed as I want to to a longer road trip in Italy / Germany / France.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the fact that's its an AMG - I'd imagine any half-decent garage could tackle that repair. Although be prepared for a fat bill - I had the crank pulley replaced on my first E500 near Bordeaux and cheap it wasn't.

Thanks all,

I gave up on MB main dealer servicing after 9 yrs last year after a string of issues year after year culminating with the Main dealer (MB Chelsea) overfilling the engine oil at the service and now I tend to prefer competent independents, so no Mobilo cover in this instance.

There is a main dealer in Amiens which is the backup plan but keen to hear any recommendations rather than playing main dealer roulette.
