Hi,

I have managed to bend the door on my beautiful mint 560SEL by reversing it with the door open (don't even ask!!!).

Can anyone recommend a reliable mercedes body shop in London that you would trust your prize classic to?

Thanks!

Where in London ?

he is a great guy, and was recommended to me of this site, and i can highly recommend him.

His father was a veteran mercedes rally driver, set up a body shop, and the rest, well is history.

Tell them Dillan said they would take good care of you and I am sure they will advise you and quote you very very happy.

They have worked on two of my cars for parking dings and grazes, and their work is 10/10

they are based in Park Royal

give him a call today, as Andy was away on holiday, but is now back at work.

You wont regret using them, i promise!

They did a superb job on my W203 following an attack of white van man, and are a Direct Line approved repairer.

My son's Seat Ibiza is there now after a bus scraped it.

Andys auto barn a personal & polite service repairing bodywork for a variety of top marque motorcars.

27 years of working on MBs classic and modern, a members CLK55 and his mint 190E Cosi have both been there.

(he's got a customers W111 cabrio in there at the moment)

Visited Andys Autobarn today. Very nice chap who clearly has alot of love for the more humble Classic Mercedes models. Even has a picture of a W114 250SE on his wall.

Only downside, he's not cheap at all. Quoted me 30 hours just for my sunroof repair (it's seized) and another 50 for the front and rear seals, headliner and bodywork on the rear left quarter panel.

In your experience, would I be able to do better for a comparable level of skill/ experience?

I am not familiar with Andy's Autobarn, but I can vouch for these guys:

Spoke to Roger, Andy's brother. Seemed really nice and less pricey. Will report back after I visit them next week. I have no idea where they sit on the price spectrum but they did not really claim to be Mercedes body specialists. Not that they need to be.

Andy and his brother did a fantastic job respraying the bonnet on my W203 a few years back (Obsidian Black).
