Hey guys,

Could you kindly recommend a reputable dealer who could supply and fit a Cross pipe on my 2005 CLS55 AMG please? Around London or Bedfordshire would be ideal.

Also would I need to get the car remapped after fitting a X pipe?

Many thanks in advance.

No need to have the car remapped after exhaust work, but why not?

Eurocharged at Watford are your best bet to sort out a remap. You may even be tempted to go the whole hog and have the smaller supercharger pulley conversion too. Expect up to 70bhp more with those mods.

Thanks guys I'll contact these guys for a quote.

I'm hesitant on going for more power as this car struggles to put down the power it had already - even though I have new Pilot Sport tyres and a full geo by Center Gravity who did my Porsche.

What is the benefit of more power? I may be the first person to ask that on this forum! ;)

Smiles. :D :D :D

It's not all about "off the line" though, effortless overtaking is my reason, passing 3 or 4 cars instead of just 1 or 2. :)

You can actually learn to get these cars to make good progress even without an LSD.

So much so that I opted for more oomph last Summer and made some good gains - I was wondering if it would be a nightmare after but to be fair, whilst it is noticeably faster than before, it is still surprisingly controllable with good tyres.

Very wet days can be tricky but need more care.

Don't get me wrong - I still get the ESP light but it doesn't hinder progress now - more a subtle warning really.

...and I am not a professional driver either.

I am considering an LSD though as I remember how well the last car I had which had one - handled.

Thanks guys. I have quotes for secondary cat delete and X pipe from EMP and Eurocharged who were both very prompt in responding so full marks to them.

The only issue is one is 3 times more expensive than the other...

I will call them to find out why, but has anyone here actually had a X pipe fitted by either of these dealers? What is the quality like and have you had any issues?

Thanks.

I had a stainless quad rear end made by EMP. Fantastic job dine while I waited with coffee on tap. Their prices are usually very good. Did you speak to Eldin? If yes then tall him you got him via Bruce on MBClub. You can usually barter.

Hi, Give me a call on 02392 570123. We could do this for you. Seeing as you are quite a distance away, we could offer you a Saturday-Saturday loan car also to make things a bit easier for you.

I had my cls55 x pipe done by Eurocharged, it sounds epic! I am London based if you want to have a listen.

Yes I've had full systems done by both.

Eurocharged will supply the headers and EMP do the rest of the exhaust work - x pipe and high cell cats if required. Hazarding a guess one quote is a lot more due to the cost of the headers.
I have seen a quite a few exhaust systems and had lots done on varying models over the years (GTRs, M3s, Bentley GT) and EMPs is the highest quality one to date.

Not sure which number you called but we haven't quoted anyone this morning for an X-pipe and secondary cat delete.
You can contact our workshop number 01923 517590.

Apologies Paul I have a quote from you prior to this post so I should have stated 'previously' for clarity!

Many thanks for all the responses so far - ECP and Eurocharged are local to me so I'll follow up with them initially.

this is probably a silly question but is cks performance a dealer for eurocharged ?

They both reside on the same industrial estate, but I don't think CKS are a Eurocharged agent

As far as I know, MSL Birmingham, PCS Horndean, Rebellion W Sussex and one garage in Scotland whose name escapes me are the only UK Eurocharged agents in the UK.

Avoid CKS is all I would say.

The previous owner of mine had a CKS x-pipe fitted, and all I'll say is I've never seen such lazy welding
