Recommended Indie in/around Broxbourne, Herts

Can anyone recommend a good Indie for a colleague who lives in Broxbourne, Herts.? He's suffered the usual MB dealer rip-off experience so I said I'd try and secure him someone who actually cares and knows what they are doing.
It's a 'modern' I'm afraid - '06 CLK covertible

P.S. Not having bought a new car for 20+ years what's the situation on the warranty for cars over 3 years when using non-franchisees for servicing? Or has the EU sorted this now?

Others will know better, but my impression is that post-warranty indy servicing is not a problem provided that MB parts and fluids are used exclusively and correctly (essential to keep receipts). The problem may be proving it in the face of MB saying "It couldn't have been fitted correctly", etc.
