Recommended specialist in Macclesfield area

There's the Mercedes dealer themselves of course, and I've heard good things about Nick Webster in Poynton. I'm sure there was one in Macclesfield itself too, but I can't remember the name for that one.

I need someone who I can trust with a C63, who has access to the Mercedes servicing software to update the digital record, and who can check the firmware update history of the car, as I want to make sure it's up to date with the latest gearbox software.

Can anyone give their experience of the two I've mentioned, or any others nearby?

I've used both of them for my E320cdi - my preference would be Nick Webster. Drop over and have a chat with him and see what you think of the set up he has.

In case anyone reads this in future:

Used Nick Webster, and was very pleased with them. Pleasant to deal with, knew their onions (quoting what service items were needed at what mileage and age correctly from the top of their heads!) and quickly took account of what had been done in previous years to decide what needed to be included in this service.

What I would term a very acceptable price too. £640 for a service which included spark plugs, brake fluid and an MOT.

When I asked if they could keep it overnight because I couldn't make it back to pick up when they'd finished, they stored it inside one of their bays for security too.

I'm off to see Nick shortly to get him to assess my E500 before the warranty runs out in August to see he can spot any issues that could lead to a claim.
