Reconditioned Turbo's

Morning all, it looks like my E320 V6 diesel 211 needs a new turbo (oil getting into pipes, creating build up of soot). Purchasing new from MB is cost prohibitive but where would anyone recommend to purchase a reconditioned one from and what price would I be looking at approximately?

Essex Turbo.

They are supplying new ones at around £550 + VAT and carriage.

Do you mean you have some oil in the inlet pipe just before the turbo?
If so that's quite the norm

Send them down to turbo dynamics on the south coast they will fix them up

That doesn't sound so bad, I suppose the labour in the fitting will more than double that

Yes we charge £1000 + VAT for the job fitted and done with new oil filter etc.

Correctly diagnose the need for turbo replacement,
or it you could cost you double.
