Here are some shots of my work on a white GLE... Using just a standard Das6 and a 3 stage correction with Koche Chemie.
I say just... judt the bonnet and passenger side have taken 3 days of polishing. I still have the drivers side and boot to do, then follow up with some wowo's so probably another 3 days to go yet...

pls excuse the polishing dust and poor pic quality.thumbnail_WP_20200506_10_23_12_Pro.jpgthumbnail_WP_20200506_10_23_50_Pro.jpgthumbnail_WP_20200506_13_42_55_Pro.jpgthumbnail_WP_20200506_13_43_32_Pro.jpgthumbnail_WP_20200506_13_43_45_Pro.jpg

Thanks for the compliment 👍. My 507 has the composite discs which have an aluminium centre section, the disc is fixed but not with a series of bolts. If you have the same discs its just wire wool, Autosol and lots of Maguires Elbow Grease 😂😂😂

your not wrong about elbow grease Andy.. I spent 3 hours just doing the inside of my exhaust tips:eek:

Elbow grease may not be “in vogue“ with folks who like the latest new fangled “wonder product” but I find it does work well 👍😂😂😂

I've got C63 rear boxes on my E55 estate and they were a bit of a mess when I bought them. Took ages (more than 3 hrs) to get them looking decent and I'd still like them better.

I can't get these any better,, The tips could do with a re-chrome tbh.

Lee. If you can find out how to get them off and re chromed there will be a lot of C63 owners who are very interested, check out the 507 thread , we’ve been discussing it on there.

Lee . Do you have shots of the back of your car? Looks like you did the diffuser gloss black which I was considering for mine 👍😊

Hey Andy, let me have a look... buddy, if not, I'll take some pics for you tomorrow and pop them up

Nothing too exciting from me, just chuffed with my first attempt at machine polishing :)

Regarding the exhaust tips. The chrome is very thin on my SL. Although 16 years old it’s only done 10k and the chrome especially on the underside around the fixing stud area, it’s so thin you can see the base material. It looks like it was like that from the factory.

As doing the inside, after a good clean up I’ve used some Halfords high temperature aerosol spray in silver to freshen them up. Looks especially good on my CLS. The aerosol is also good to freshen up other areas of the exhaust where it shows.

After today's maintenance wash..
Still loving this colour 🤩
