Could someone assist please?

My car is serviced at my employers workshop by a very good friend in his own time.

My employer services their own vehicles & has recently bought a fleet of MB chassis cabs (dustcarts) & the auto electrican now has his very own "Star" machine, fortunately it is also programmed for cars. (Yes! now that's what you call a concil tax rebate)

Today we ran it through its paces & it showed a problem with the air con in that it only indicated 1 bar of pressure & gave a warning.

Unfortunately PCC doesn't yet have the machine to clean & regass air con units UGH! which means that I'll have to go to kwik fit or somewhere

Does anyone know what the correct pressure should be ?:dk:

Hi Dave,

From *memory*, I think somewhere close to 4-5 bar seems familiar.

Don't take this as gospel, it's purely from memory when I was performing some system diagnostics a while back.

The star should have told you.. if you go into actual values it normally says the acceptable range.

Whenever i plug the ac machine at work into most cars/trucks they are anywhere between 4 and 6 bar.

Does the a/c work? as 1 bar is very low.
