refurbed alloys on r129

[R129mine]

hi

thought i would show a picture of 2nd set of alloys (thanks Sp!ke) for my r129 with winter tyres. pictures taken in rain (not snow) so unevenness is not caused by bad refurb job.

will leave them on till march and then go back to summer tyres (2 summer tyres need replacing as well as refurb 2x alloys due to curbing (happened 2 weeks after i had them last refurbed 3 years ago :wall bash: )

Looking good - what was it you said in your PM about cement used for balancing?

my friend who refurbed them said he found cement on the inside of the alloys (not sure if all of them or just 1) and he had a fun time to remove it. he said there is always a first for something

How bizzarre - I cant say that I noticed any imbalance so I guess some tyre fitter had compensated for the cement when balancing.

Very very odd though.

Those are probably my least favourite R129 alloys, but still pretty classy for winter wheels! And the refurb looks well done.
