Refurbing Alloys

I am probably going to terminate my Agility Agreement in March.

All my alloys need refurbishment and my question is what will Mercedes charge when I return the car and will it be cheaper to get them done by a specialist?

I suspect the latter and if so can anyone recommend someone in the Beds/Bucks area?

Thanks

If you opt to get them done you have Pristine Wheels in Woburn - not too far from Leighton Buzzard.. They do a top job.

Merc charged me £45 per wheel when I gave my CLS back in 2010, bargain price I thought. They were just the silver painted finish rather than diamond cut.

You can ask them, they have a kind of price list for common work - it is not as bad as you may think.

^As Simon said, check how much mb will charge & get the cheapest local refurb price & go with the cheaper option;)

BJV engineering will do the job - standard silver coat is £130 + vat for up to 19" rims

or £160 if tyres are still on when they get them or £190 if you leave the car with them

Alternatively, play MB at their own game.

Get to know the parts guy at the dealership it's due in at and see which mobile unit does their cars.

Get the same guy to do yours just before it's due back.

I doubt they could really complain ....

Have you used their Exchange Programme? Not sure quite what they mean - can you just go to a garage to get them inspected and then have them send a perfect pair to your local in exchange for your used pair and a wad of cash!?

I'm NW London, so can't be bothered going up to MK to get it done with the price of petrol these days, but if they have an easier option and a good rep ...

Depends on the finish you want but if you want the finish to last then I would recommend getting them powder coated. You will often find that mobile repairers are of a similar price and the job they will do is not nearly as good and just wont last when compared to powder coating.
