Of those who have had their car chipped & informed their insurance company, what is the typical price increase?
I have heard that some insurance companies will withdraw cover which then affects your ability to get insurance elesewhere - again has anyone had this happen?

fitted a tuning box and there was no charge

Fitted an aftermarket ecu, bigger turbo and added 150hp to my Skyline and the insurance went up by £40 around 10% loading

Its often not as much as many think and is straightforward for those companies which allow modifications but not all do
