Hello,I'm thinking of increase the horses on my old 2001 W203 2.2 cdi.Which way would be better:buying chip box from Internet or remapping the ECU.Any advice would be much appreciated.Thank you

remapping is always better especially as good reputable firms can custom make you maps for your particular car. A few to check out include angel tuning, west tuning, MSL.

Remapping the ECU will be better

Where are you based?

thanks

Thinking of doing a Group Map in Birmingham soon , if that is not to far for you.

I have no doubt that a remap would be wonderful, I recently bought a Pro Bitz plug in unit s/h on e bay, fitted it in minutes to my 2002 220cdi coupe and found it to work perfectly, costing me £49 it'll soon pay me back in better MPG and drives so much better in city traffic

Thanks Dave I'm going to check it out

I also think remaping ecu is better, and now there have a new ecu chip tunning tool named Ktag K-TAG, it is more stronger than FGTECH.
