Hello everyone. First post here, so I'll try to be clear (apologies if my question is too long).
I have two keys with remote fobs, both original, for my 2015 E-class e220 estate.
Remote 1 works fine in all regards; locks car, unlocks car, opens tailgate and starts the car.
Remote 2 used to be the same as remote 1. Now, remote 2 locks car, opens tailgate, starts car, but does NOT unlock the car.
Since remote 1 works 100%, it seems unlikely that this is an issue with the vehicle? I've changed the battery in remote 2, but that made no difference. I followed some advice online about re-syncing the key fob to the car (there seem to be a few variations to the procedure out there) but this did not have any effect either.
Any advice on how to solve this without shelling out the kids inheritance on a new key from the main dealer?
Thanks for reading this far
