    Hi
I want to put some carbon fibre features in the interior of my CLK w209.

Does anybody know how to remove the dashboard (cover)?

Its a huge job. Make sure the car is in Netural so its easier to remove the trim.

Start with opening the ashtray, then prise upwards the gear surround.

Next, remove the 2 hidden Torx screws from underneath the heater surround

Remove the heater trim and then you should see the screws to remove the stereo surround.

Finally got round to removing my dashboard and starting the interior carbon fibre wrap project. Not as easy as it looks by the way!!

Out of interest, what year is yours, as I can find no trace of a W209?....They only made C209 and A209.
Your dash/centre console looks similar to mine but Mercedes tell me mine is a C209, and so does the data card, WIS/EPC etc.
Is yours an import, or something, because all my searches show there was no such thing.
Just curious as I have enough trouble finding parts, as everybody, based on model years, thinks mine is a W208, until I supply the vin, then all say C209.

W209 is the coupe, C209 is the convertable.

A209 refers to parts for both

I thought the c209 was the coupe and the a209 the convertible.
No such thing as a w209. -its just what people callit.
